Stern Pinball’s Metallica Remastered revives the classic with modern upgrades, including Spike 2 electronics, a full-color LCD with new animations and live concert footage, expanded rules, and 22 songs, eight more than the original. The game preserves John Borg’s iconic playfield flow while adding updated mechanics, new sculptures like Sparky and the Hammer, enhanced UV lighting, and two new art packages by Rhys Cooper.
Metallica Remastered has been updated with a full-color LCD display featuring new animations and live concert video footage. The game is powered by Stern’s modern Spike 2 electronics, offering expanded gameplay with 22 songs, which is 8 more than the original, along with improved presentation and gameplay rules. The cabinet has been enhanced with an Expression Lighting system and two new art packages by Metallica artist Rhys Cooper. Players will enjoy the original playfield layout with improvements in geometry, mechanical devices, and new UV lighting effects.
Since their formation in 1981, Metallica has become one of the most influential bands in music history, known for their groundbreaking music and electrifying live performances. Their impact extends beyond music, earning them a massive global following and critical acclaim.
Stern Pinball has meticulously crafted Metallica Remastered, respecting the original game created by pinball legends John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. The design team, led by John Borg and software engineer Raymond Davidson, has modernized the classic masterpiece.

It also features a full-color Remastered mirrored backglass, high-definition cabinet decals, exclusive pinball armor, a designer-autographed bottom arch, upgraded audio system, anti-reflection playfield glass, shaker motor, a sequentially numbered plaque, and a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
